Steve Lawson will speak at PodCamp Barcelona about:

Amplified is an initially year-long project, co-funded by NESTA (the National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts) and Sleepydog ( www.sleepydog.net ), that’s exploring new ways of joining up the myriad disparate networks in the new technology space. They’re also looking at how to document all the wonderful, valuable conversations that go on at conferences and gatherings that get lost because they don’t happen on the speaker’s platform. Steve Lawson will outline some of prototype ideas the  Amplified team are exploring, and discuss the various projects they’ve been involved in and where it goes from here…

Francesc Gómez at PodCamp Barcelona!

EnQuarentena

Francesc Gómez, of EnQuarentena, will speak at PodCamp Barcelona about:

“Any teacher born before 1970 has received all types of computer courses and the common experience is often that of putting in a lot of effort to obtain meagre results. This gave birth to my idea to offer a course in which the technological solution was first of all this: a solution, so that the time invested had a such return in the short term that it stimulated new investments of time. A kind of pedagogical ROI that guarantees the success of the educative action.

Which tools maximizan this particular concept of pedagogical ROI? Those that are easy to obtain, install and administer, the cheapest possible, with a very easy learning curve, that give solutions to daily problems of the users and that had some probability of “surviving”  the course (that is to say, that the user could continue to use them after the course). I thought that the solutions that Google offer fulfil these requirements to a greater or lesser extent andin this way “Do you Google?” began.

José A. Galaso at PodCamp Barcelona!

BREAKOUTLogo_0

José A. Galaso will speak about work spaces at PodCamp Barcelona

There are new concepts to think about the spaces where we work and these new concepts are born of new ways to understand work. In these ways the value of our work is in the capacity of relating both with other people “from the outside” as well as with work-mates. The ability of innovative ideas, new projects or simply collaborative synergy to spring from these new relationships make this an interesting area to observe.

Therefore, the conception of space and of the elements that have to exist within it need a radical change and be based in the new technologies used in the workplace and in the services that are built on them: social networks, collaborative software, multimedia, Metaverses etc.

To look for spaces where knowledge is shared and not isolated and where ideas can flow is to create. Transform the noise into ideas.

Dolors Reig at PodCamp Barcelona

freeeducación1

Dolors Reig will speak about “Free” at PodCamp Barcelona.

Although the need to maintain old-fashioned business models wants us to believe the opposite by means of a stage of artificial creation of scarcity of that which is paid for with money (copyright, qualifications, “quality content”, etc.…), the truth is that we are already very close, with reference to knowledge,  information and culture, to the era of the abundance. In other terms, it is necessary to rethink how to rethink the press, culture, as well as education, training, e-learning, “validated” contents,  classrooms, qualifications, education in general. If the contents are not, almost never already, scarce (neither in quality nor quantity), what is the new scarcity? Anderson reminds in “Free” – reputation and  attention.

New business models have to be based on both values. They also give clues with respect to the generated values (which have to be generated, cultivated, nourished, that can not be plagiarised, reproduced….) of Kevin Kelly. The image aims to be a starting point to which needs to be added, between everybody, a third column that determines which values are those that can be generated or scarce today.
