PodCamp Barcelona 2010!

First of all we want to thank everybody who participated in any way in PodCamp Barcelona ‘09 and made it such a success.
We are thinking about PodCamp Barcelona 2010 and any ideas or suggestions are more than welcome.
One of the main things points to improve is the “venue”, we are almost sure that next year the event will take place in Ca n’Humet. We are also thinking about changing the date, perhaps to May, and also to do it over 1.5 days, Friday evening and all day Saturday (but finishing earlier) for example. What do you think?
We have put together a blog to gather together all the content generated by pbcn09, please contact us if you have some stuff we haven’t included.
¡Hasta pronto!
PodCamp Update!

PodCamp Barcelona 09 is about to begin – here are some last minute points:
1- Punctuality > There are a lot of people presenting in a short time, and we have to keep to time or we will finish very late (like last year).
If you are presenting, check the time of the slot in the program . Make sure you are ready for your turn and pay attention to the time indicators which will tell you the time remaining. If you are going to use slides we
recommended that you bring a pendrive (much easier than changing computers). If you need your computer for specific software please bring it however, but make sure you have any connecters/adaptors you may need.
2- Spaces > If some session doesn’t interest you or you want to take a break, please leave at the changeover & not in the middle of a presentation. We’ve prepared a central space where it’s possible to watch the events in sala 1, network, chat or have a meeting. Streaming at http://podcamp2009.minisites.xtvl.tv/
3- Tags > #PBCN09 is the tag if you are going to use Twitter, upload photos to Flickr or similar, write a post, Facebook, etc. Bring your laptop and chargers, there are plenty of power points and wifi, perfect for Twitter addicts like us!
4-Language > Everybody will present in the language of their choice. In Sala 1 there will be simultaneous translation, and we will happily accept volunteers to improvise translations in Sala 2.
5- Transport > If you’ve reserved a seat on the bus please arrive a little early so the bus can leave on time. The bus will leave from Plaça Catalunya 19, Barcelona, more or less in front of Farggi. http://09en.podcampbarcelona.org/2009/08/28/all-aboard-the-podcamp-bus/ If you come by train, the station is Ocata
6- Lunch > We’ve organised a cold lunch which unfortunately is only available for those who have reserved it in advance as we had to provide the caterers with numbers yesterday (17/09)

Amplified is an initially year-long project, co-funded by NESTA (the National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts) and Sleepydog ( www.sleepydog.net ), that’s exploring new ways of joining up the myriad disparate networks in the new technology space. They’re also looking at how to document all the wonderful, valuable conversations that go on at conferences and gatherings that get lost because they don’t happen on the speaker’s platform. Steve Lawson will outline some of prototype ideas the Amplified team are exploring, and discuss the various projects they’ve been involved in and where it goes from here…
